51 Signal Box Block Bell with original makers plate 'R.E.Thompson & Co Hersham Walton-on-Thames Surrey'. Church bell style with front tapper and both knurled screws intact. A lovely instrument in exceptional and original ex box condition. £95 743
52 Mahogany cased Signal Box Block Bell of early design with split case box having a slide-out frontspiece. Church bell style with both knurled screws intact. In extremely good ex box condition with a few knocks here and there and flaking varnish. £80 2126

54 Three railways lamps comprising: GWR copper top handlamp with etched front glass, no interior. Brass plate on the side reads 15689. Together with a GWR brass collar handlamp with a brass plate on side reads 'G Polkey manufacturer Birmingham' reservoir and burner intact. Together with a BR(W) brass collar handlamp with reservoir and burner intact. All 3 lamps are rusty and in need of restoration. £45

58 Reproduction Nameplate ROYAL AIR FORCE. The original would have been carried by Royal Scot Class 4-6-0 locomotive numbered 46159. Cast brass approximately 47" in length. A very good reproduction indeed. £120
59 Reproduction Headboard THE CAMBRIAN COAST EXPRESS with integral crest above. Cast aluminium measures 53" wide x 3" in height. An extremely good reproduction indeed. £290
60 GWR framed Notice reference 1926 Strike. Framed & glazed measuring 14" x 9¼". Dated 13th May 1926 and bearing the manager's name Felix J. Pole, Paddington Station. Interesting text. Good condition for age. £20
61 GWR framed Notice reference 'Moving Locomotive Engines', Framed & glazed measuring 19" x 15½". Bears the manager's name C.B. Collett and has the date May 1887, revised five times to May 1937. Would have been clearly displayed at a GWR Locomotive Depot as it lists 12 Rules to be obeyed by shed staff. Good condition for age £50
62 GWR framed Notice, circular No 345 reference 'Instructions as to Distinctive Great Western Engine Head Lights, Head Marks, and Targets to come into use on and after the 15th March 1880'. Framed & glazed measuring 18" x 20½". Bears the Superintendent of the Line's name G.N. Tyrell. Pristine condition. £10

67 GWR Publicity pamphlet 'Wales' with a few edges tears and fold lines otherwise in reasonable condition. Together with a GWR Booklet 'Rambles In Shakespeare Land and The Cotswolds' dated 1938 and in excellent condition; a similar 'Rambles Around The Cambrian Coast' dated 1936, sound but binding has deteriorated and there are tape marks on the binding encroaching the cover; a similar 'Rambles In The Chiltern Country' dated 1932 with some defects but overall very good.



68 GWR bound magazines Vol XLIII Jan-Dec 1931. Condition good with some spine tears and some wear and tear.Includes July 1931 which mentions a vast array of early GWR Nameplates for sale from Swindon Works including many early County Class. £40
69 Original GWR 'twin shield' Transfers, qty 15 in original condiition and ready to use. Each measures 12¾" x 10¾". Ideal for preserved railways.



70 GWR Booklets, qty 3 comprising:- A very interesting auction catalogue with realisation held at the Goods Warehouses of the Great Western Railway, absolutely fascinating; 'Great Loco Story' by R.L.Grey detailing Churchward's Work on the GWR dated 1947; GWR Two Cylinder Piston Valve Steam Locomotives by E.J. Nutty, 1977. All in very good condition.

72 LNER 4 aspect Handlamp with brass plate affixed to side ''BR(E) LANGFORD 3'. Complete with reservoir and an BR/LMR burner. 'LNER Kerosene' stamped on reducing cone, 'BR(E)' embossed on the lamp side. Unrestored. Note Langford Box was situated between Witham and Maldon on the one time Eastern Counties Railway. It closed in September 1964. £40
73 BR(W) 3 aspect brass collar Handlamp with an unusual BR(W) etched front glass. Complete with reservoir and burner. Unrestored, lacks rear handle.. £45 743
74 Steel Stamp with Yew Handle 'ST MELLONS CARDIFF' and date. Comes with mahogany box with sliding lid housing a quantity of date blocks for this stamp. Incomplete but has an old envelope with it that has a small quantity of further Blocks. £75

Hand written, this is a fascinating insight into day to day occurrences at the Works.Together with a GWR Ambulance & Casualty Evacuation Trains with List of Hospitals & Ambulance Railheads Booklet dated May1944; an unused GWR Running Engine Repair Book; an unused GWR receipt booklet for 6 cwt of coal; a selection of turn of the century GWR correspondence, mostly regarding the Stratford-upon-Avon area with some plans, very fragile but most interesting. £10

100 Franklin Mint Medal, Letter of Explanation and Certificate commemorating the Last Run of the Orient Express. Contained within a plastic wallet, the medal itself is surrounde by a French and Turkish stamp, both franked with the date 22-5-77. Good condition, the front legend a little rubbed. £5
